College Professor
Holly has been a member of the music faculty at Pacific Lutheran University for eighteen years, and taught at Tacoma Community College for five. Her students have gone on to win national competitions, work in young artist programs, sign recording contracts, and receive scholarships at top graduate programs around the country. Many have become music educators and continue instilling a deep love of singing in others.
Holly believes in lifelong learning, and is an active member of NATS (The National Association of Teachers of Singing), serving in many roles including Western Washington District Governor (2 terms), and NW NATS Artist Awards Competition Coordinator. She regularly attends conferences and workshops and serves frequently as an adjudicator and masterclass clinician. She believes in creating a safe space for singers to explore and experiment, allowing them to utilize their whole instruments with as much physical ease and joy as possible.
In her capacity as teacher, performer, NATS member, and college professor, Holly has given presentations and led classes and workshops on subjects ranging from Vocal Anatomy to Mozart Recitative to Yoga for Performers. She has been engaged as a guest clinician or speaker for NATS Chapters, Universities, summer workshops, private voice studios, musical clubs, K-12 schools, and arts centers.
